The Business Bay Metro Station is the backbone of the city’s transport network. As part of the Red Line, it provides direct access to other vital stations along the metro line, including the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station (one stop away) and Union Station (where you can transfer onto the Green Line).

3. Opening Hours at the Station

  • Monday to Thursday: 5.00 AM to Midnight
  • Friday to Saturday: 5.00 AM to 1.00 AM
  • Sunday: 8.00 AM to Midnight

During peak times, trains depart every 3 minutes and every 7 minutes during off-peak times. This is a real highlight of the Business Bay Metro Station as it cuts down travel and waiting times considerably.

Please note that during holidays, the station’s operating times can vary. So, it’s best to check the RTA (Road and Transport Authority).

  • Just like in all Dubai metros, there’s a carriage reserved exclusively for women. Gentlemen, be careful,  sitting there could get you a fine! You can’t miss it, it’s clearly marked in pink.

Just a heads-up — the walk from the Dubai Mall Metro to the mall itself takes around 20 minutes.
But don’t worry, it’s fully air-conditioned and you’ll walk along moving walkways.

The Dubai Mall is a haven for shopaholics! It has everything you could ever want, including over 1,000 stores, an indoor playground, cinema, amusements, ice skating rink, museum, and indoor aquarium. Or you could go to Dubai Opera. There are many events and world-class performances throughout the year, so you could take in a show or two.
